Who cares?
You're a sophomore and doing well on the PSAT wouldn't have mattered, except for the ego.

If you have to lie to your friend, cause you are embarrassed about your score, then you probably have a lot of issues to sort out with yourself.
Get over it. It's just a PSAT you took as a sophomore and arguably, fairly negligible, even if you are a junior.

It's far more important to do well on your real SAT.
PS: Most sophomores and juniors taking the PSAT without prep do pretty bad.

You can fool some of the people some of the time. You just can't fool yourself all the time. There is only one way for you to find out if you can get a 225 by jr year. Start working on it.

Dude, listen to me. I got a 156 on the PSAT during my sophomore year. Junior year, I got a 2270 on the real SAT. If you prepare over the summer you'll be fine.

Yeah I was pretty disappointed when I got my sophomore PSAT scores back at first
but if you really really really want that 225, do some prep over the summer (a bunch of practice tests and reviewing them, focusing on some weak areas/sections)

Dont worry too much about it. I didnt really know what the PSAT was soph year..I didnt even know what to do on the writing section because...honestly, they all looked right to me at the time. Got a 53 or something on W ...this year (OCT) got it up to a 790 with just reviewing some basic grammar rules and doing practice tests.

With some prep, you should be fine. Summer is a great time to start since school might a big crazy early Oct. But don't expect to get it up to 225+ like overnight. It'll take some time so don't get frustrated
