dangerous? or do i watch too much tv. hahahhaha. (yeah, every movie i watch, a lawyer always gets shot.)

the people you are around are really cocky and speak in really condescending tones.

you can’t tell if anyone is actually telling the truth.

you have to speak and think ridiculously fast to survive.

are these somewhat true?
hah. i’m not joking; i guess i’m kind of naive. i’m from the bay area where i guess i’m surrounded by families who are doctors, businessmen, and engineers, so to be honest, i have no idea what a lawyer is like.

The worst part must be the endless lawyer jokes.

Law school is competitive.
Passing the bar isn't easy.
Long hours, lots of paperwork.
Clients can be difficult.
Lots of stress.
Some people have likened the profession to doing other people's homework for classes you never would've taken yourself. Law is like medicine. Don't do it for the money because it's really not that worth it if you don't like it.

I agree with everything ManOfFaith said. You couldn't pay me to go to law school.

haha that seems kinda fun actually.
the "doing hw for classes that i never would've taken myself."
interesting, interesting.

what's the minimum number of years i would have to have?
also, do i have to be an intern, like doctors do?

Lawyers at big law firms have to work ungodly hours as well...by contract. Look up billable hours. I think its one of the most intimidating parts about being a lawyer. And then there's dealing with paperwork/bothersome people/the legal system.
