I was assigned to a 2 room quad in Badin. Does anyone have ideas about it?
Badin underwent extensive renovations last year (everyone moved into Pangborn for the year) so it should be in beautiful shape. I think they installed an elevator as well. It’s a great location on campus - fairly central and right across the quad from South Dining Hall. I don’t know if it has air conditioning - I don’t think so. If that’s the case, just bring a box fan for the window and a standing one for the room and you should be fine.

Badin is a very pretty, charming old dorm. Based on what I know about other older, renovated dorms, there will be air conditioning in the common rooms like the lounges, but not in the individual rooms. Badin has a great location, a good spot on South Quad across from South Dining Hall, but also the back of the dorm abuts Bond Quad. So if you go out that way, it’s a quick walk to LaFun student center through Bond Quad and God Quad. A lot of stuff happens on South Quad, especially on welcome weekend and game days, so you’ll be right in the middle of the action. Enjoy!
