I am sitting on 3-4 months of time, and I am at a loss for what to do:(
I would love to love to attend Columbia or a different lower tier Ivy, Michigan Ann Arbor as well??

I have my SAT scores(pretty damn close to 2400), some SAT subjects(800) four APs that are all related to engineering(which is what I want to do)
My TOEFL score is enough(120)

I have no idea how they'll go about evaluating the 'rigor of my courses' because everyone takes the same subjects, or how they will calculate my GPA.

For extracurricular stuff, I was student council, orchestra, basketball team, i cleaned the bathrooms for a year,i tutored middle school *******s, and then the rest is menial community service.

I've heard Korean school's are pretty strenuous...much more so than American schools. The whole "I cleaned the bathrooms for a year" must have sucked to the highest degree. Anyway, maybe you could read some classic literature or something...maybe teach yourself another foreign language...I have no idea actually.

i had to study from 8am to 11pm daily. it was godawful. anyhow, i meant what should i do in terms of preparation for getting admitted into the school of my dreams!

Ahh, well, as you probably already know, your scores are pretty phenomenal. Other than that, you should improve your extracurriculars, though they're pretty good (mine are lacking...I don't have very many at all, so don't fret). Anyways, I think your pretty set. Maybe you should look at some other threads to see how you compare. Wait, was the 8a.m. to 11p.m. the school day? If so, that's absolutely ridiculous and evil.

Begin writing the essays, as you don't want to be stuck doing any ED/EA apps three days before they are due. (I had to do something similar with RD, and spent my entire winter break compiling five applications to various schools.)

Poor rwe, you should really take a year off after you've been admiited... that is defer for an year after you've been accepted if they allow it. You need a break.

thank you everyone! im going to take kman's advice and get to work on those essays. i had to do the bathrooms for fighting in school:( Standing up to the teachers will get you a beating and not much else haha

A beating?! Man, the schools here would probably get sued if they ever did that...Cleaning the bathrooms would be frowned upon also...rwe112, violence is not the answer, lol.
