I’m a dancer, and I’m concerned about being able to dance in college.

It’s something i’ve always wanted to do. I’m spending my summer at a ballet intensive, and i don’t want to loose everything i’ve worked for .

Does anyone know if there’s anywhere nearby to dance at? Because BCs ballet classes only go up to intermediate, and there’s not a ton of performance options.

Sorry, random question, just wondering! Thanks to anyone who can answer.

There are actually many dance groups at BC that have a wide range of levels and styles!
-Dance Ensemble is an intensive team that you must audition for. They only take the very best dancers. They do mostly Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, and Modern. They perform two shows a year.

-Dance Organization is a less intensive program that is opened to anyone. They also do all styles including, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. You do however have to audition for the advanced levels, but by the sounds of your experience that won't be a problem. Dance Org performs one show a year.

There is also the BC Liturgical Dance Group, but I'm not too sure what they're all about (I'm pretty sure they're ballet oriented). I know they have a special performance in the winter called "A Dancer's Christmas".

If you are still looking for places outside of BC, I'd definitely recommend Boston Ballet. You can usualy find master classes that are opened to the public for a fee.
