Hey good to see another Jersey transplant down here! I’m a lot more removed though (I’ve lived down here for about 14 years). I actually thought about applying to Rutgers and maybe even Princeton, but that never happened. My dad tells me that the dorms at Princeton are like dungeons, haha.

I think it’s a myth, though, that the North is unfriendly. The people in (South) Jersey and in the Poconos were just as friendly to me as people in Memphis are, but those are the only two areas I’m very familiar with.

I know of no one who would consider CiCi’s to be real pizza.

At least no one over age 8. LOL

ABR1190: I grew up in North Jersey & our last NJ residence was in Central Jersey. I can guarantee you that random strangers were no where near as friendly to anyone as they are here in TN. We’ve found a huge difference when we talk to people in stores, restaurants and especially medical personnel.

Now friends & acquaintances are a different story. People we KNEW in NJ are just as caring and helpful as anyone we’ve met here, except perhaps a little more sarcastic ;)

BTW, my nephew is a freshman at Rutgers (commuter) and seems to be having a wonderful time.
