So I'm trying to figure out which bank/ATM I should use at Berkeley and three names popped up in their website: CHASE, Bank of America, and CUBS.

I'm trying to decide between Bank of America and CUBS.

What are the pros and cons of either? There seem to be more CUBS ATM's on campus, but I can find Bank of America ATM's anywhere so that might be useful too.

Current Berkeley students, what have you heard/experienced regarding ATM's?

CUBS’ Green Rewards and Student Checking accounts have no monthly fee and no minimum balance. CUBS has an arrangement with the [Co-op Network](http://www.co-opfs.org/public/locators/atmlocator/) for ATM use without surcharges.

Bank of America’s eBanking checking waives its $8.95 monthly fee if you use only ATMs and electronic banking (no teller use) and do not get paper statements. Bank of America ATMs are common, but using a non-Bank of America ATM will be costly with fees both from Bank of America and the owner of the ATM in most cases.

I’m pretty sure Bank of America has student accounts that have no associated fees and no minimum deposit (it’s what I have, and while I didn’t open my account in Berkeley I honestly can’t imagine why this wouldn’t be the case here too). I like it because it has branches everywhere (here, at home, and many other cities) and has served all my needs well enough. Personally I’ve never felt any inconvenience at not having BofA ATMs on campus; there are enough of them in the area (including one on Telegraph x Bancroft) and there is always cash back from stores when I need to get cash too.
