Bank of America Student Leaders 2021

i am sorry to hear that:( which market are you from if you don’t mind me asking?

The traditional summit speakers, etc. was spread across the 6 week program. We had speakers talk about implicit biases, racial quality, mentoring, effective social media use, and food insecurity.

Each market also got to work on a project, we were working with the cohort in Atlanta to build a website/social media to encourage and educate people about the importance and process of voting.

And the coolest part of the program was the chance to review applications for The Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s $200,000 grant program and do a mock selection committee - it was a really cool way to learn about very high-achieving nonprofits in Chicago.

This sounds so cool!!! Hopefully, I get in.

Thanks so much, I appreciate your response!!

This is kind of a weird question so you don’t need to answer if you don’t want to but how helpful do you think this program was in terms of college applications. It seems like an awesome program but I’m wondering how helpful it is.

if this is the reason you’re applying, then don’t bother applying. But from an admissions standpoint, I would assume that it’s very helpful, as it’s the most competitive summer program for business/humanities (and in my opinion, the best program for business/humanities).

The only other business/econ summer program i can think of is Economics For Leaders (EFL), which is paid, and in all honesty, it’s not too difficult to get in (specifically compared to Bofa SL). There’s also LBW and the other wharton programs, but they’re expensive. This is the only free competitive program for biz that I know of

I was a senior when I was accepted, so it did not affect college applications.

It was a AWESOME experience from a leadership development perspective, though!

I apologize, I hope I didn’t sound like I was only focused on this program for college apps. I personally applied for the leadership experience I would get. But thank you for your response. I hope we all get in!
