Bank of America Student Leaders

How good is this internship, if anyone has participated in it? and does anyone know the requirements for eligibility? thanks so much.

this internship was a life changing experience for me. this internship opened my eyes to the works of nonprofit organizations and their impact in the community. there are no requirements but it is based on your involvement in your community. PM if you have questions.

Bump. the deadline is feb 20th. the details about this program are SO vague - where exactly do you intern?

I was thinking about applying, but I'm not sure .... I have next to no leadership experience and only a few volunteer activities...I was looking at this as a way to improve in both of those areas but I get the sense that they are looking for people already qualified?

i think you should still try to apply anyways.

How difficult is it to get admitted to this program? Is it uber competitive, or...

^that's what i'd like to know as well.

Toss in an application.....but have a backup plan (or six)

Bank of America is being slammed in this economy. The program may not exist come May.

Can anyone provide some details for this? I would like to know what this internship entails.

Me too... I'm applying but I'm wondering just how competitive it is and exactly what would the interns do...

^yeah they're really vague. i wish someone who participated in this could tell us more about it.

=/ anybody?
also I'm curious as to the pay, a "paid internship" could be a 500$ stipend (which would be completely bs with eight 30 hr weeks

is that online app supposed to be submitted on the 19th or 20th? Its not really specific...

who made it into this program?!

and what does it mean by the application amount?

well now the app process is over so i guess all of us who completed it just have to wait and see

yeah^

what market are you guys applying under?

Well, I read a flyer for my local branch, and they told you how much you would make an hour at the internship. I calculated the total amount to be somewhere around 3-4k. They also said they would pay you during the Leadership Summit, which I find awesome.

Hopefully we would get in, but I agree - the information on this is almost nonexistent.

^oh wow. that's great.
do you know how they select which organization you work at? i called them, but they said bank of america hadn't decided yet (i'm in the LA region). i was wondering if it's one pre-picked destination for everyone who's in the area, or if they pick a location near you.

I'm applying under Chicago. Any idea what organization I'd work for, assuming I'm accepted?

I just applied under the Hartford, Connecticut district.
Does anyone know how competitive this is? I've done hundreds of hours of community service through my school, and out of my school.
Also, what does "Application Amount" mean? My finished application says "$5,000"
