I’m from the Nashville market. I applied, and I just got a call back for an interview. Wish me the best of luck. Haha :-S
Any advice or tips from former BofA leaders?
Omg ! Congrats , that is crazy just relax you got this try to go on whole threads to see what past interviewers got asked … I’m starting to get nervous because I have not received a call :((
Also if you do not mind sharing what did you put for your service hours ?
Hi y’all. Are there any other Texans who applied? Best of luck to everyone!
Does anyone know if the Chicago market does interviews?
@abbysm99 Based on past threads, no
@Petunia1999 I am, hello! Good luck.
Anyone know the earliest date someone has received an email or phone call in the past?
Good Luck to you too! @talkoftown
I am from the Fort Worth market and really hoping to get in!!
@talkoftown someone in this thread said late February
From San Antonio, TX. No word yet. How many community service hours are “average.” for an applicant?
@Blossom99 idk but I heard that the essays count a TON for this, so if your essays were great, you have a solid chance
@Petunia1999 I’m from the Dallas County market! Hopefully we’ll be able to get our results soon!!
Dallas and San Antonio are in different markets. Texas has about 4 markets, I believe. Anyone else from Texas? Good luck to everyone. I believe that anyone who is interested in become a leader is a great applicant. We need more dedicated student leaders.
Houston Market, here. You hear as early as the end of Feb. on through April. The internship is $10/hr and you get paid when you go to D.C. as well, on top of the already expenses paid trip. It’s very competitive, and with no transcripts and without knowing you, the only way they can judge your character is by your essay (it needs to be amazing, no joke) and your recommendation. I got the required one from school, and then 2 more amazing recs. You need to stand out every way you can.
Those who applied the day before and put in little effort, don’t expect calls back. Most likely you’ll receive emails in April saying you didn’t get in. This program IS prestigious and looks amazing on resume’s and other apps bc it is nationally based and has a 3-4% acceptance rate.
If you don’t really have a passion to lead and better your community, there was no point in applying. Im just stating facts, not trying to be mean lol.
The limit of characters versus limit of words made the essays challenging. Essays had to be very concise and to the point. Did any of you find this challenging? Considering the number of applicants they receive I understand why they set strict limits on the essays. Hopefully they have some type of rating system that takes into account all three areas, essay, community service history and recommendation letter(s). I wonder how many students applied per market.
Anyone from the Vegas market?
Anyone from Baltimore hear back?
