I am going to UT next year and right now I also need to make a bank account. So which bank would be most convenient at UT? Is there a particular bank or a few banks which have lots of ATMs and stuff around UT?

Don’t quote me on this, but I think I remember something about “Bank of America” being the official bank of UT… I’m not positive though

Bank of America has quite a few ATMs on campus. One in Jester, a few on the Drag, and one over by RLM. That has been enough for me.

University Federal Credit Union is all over the place. The have many ATMs as well (at least 10 on or right around campus, probably more). I know there’s a Wells Fargo on the drag but I don’t know other locations or ATMs.

The credit union ^ has a branch right across the street from the fountain in front of the union and cash machines all over campus and all over Austin. They have a table at parent orientation. Last year, they gave you $20.12 if you opened an account (as my daughter and a lot of other students did).

I would say that Bank of America and University Federal Credit Union have the most ATMs around campus. That said, the actual Bank of America branch on the drag is very limited in what you can do there.

There is also both a Chase and Wamu and a Wachovia on the drag, I believe.

does chase have any ATMs around campus?

From what I’m aware, there are only Bank of America and University Federal Credit ATMs on campus. Both Wamu and Chase have branches / ATMs on the drag, though.
