Good afternoon. In my current boarding school, the school helps its new students to register with a local bank, and to get a card. Basically, it’s organized. Does NYU do anything similar? Do freshmen get registered with a bank or smth?

No. As a college student, considered an adult, you are on your own with things like that. It is possible that some local banks may attend orientation fairs, but it is your responsibility to decide and act on where you bank.
