Banks at Bloomington

I have a Citi Bank debit card but I just found out that Bloomington doesn't have any Citi Bank ATMs. Are there any banks in Bloomington that do not charge fees for withdrawing?

I have a debit card with Chase and I do not have any fees. However, I currently have a high school account and will change it to a college account. (Some woman I know works there says to change because there are different limits; I’m not exactly sure what the difference is) But I would think there wouldn’t be any as well. I am changing my account some time soon and I can let you know if there are any with the college account. And there are like 3 Chases in Bloomington.

Update: Chase Checking Accounts: Compare & Apply Today | Chase;

It looks like there are no fees, other than for using non-Chase ATMs ($2 fee), and there’s a Chase ATM in the union

I have Bank of America and the only Bloomington BofA is an ATM inside the College Mall. I couldn’t find anywhere that didn’t charge fees, but you can go to Target, CVS, etc., and request cash with purchases without a fee.

Thanks for the info :slight_smile: I didn’t know that you could go to Target and do that.

Yes, I heard Chase was better and had alot of ATMs in Bloomington. But I have a savings account in CitiBank and my mom wanted to open a checking/debit account connected to my savings. I should have chosen Chase…

Also, IU Credit Union works really well.

It connects to like 90% of other Credit Unions so you can use their ATMs and tellers for free. So like when I’m home I just use Teacher’s Credit Union or Notre Dame Credit Union.

The most common debit card studenst have is the chase card… as gaille pointed there are alot of chase ATM’s and local branches around the Bloomington Campus

If I open a joint account (IU credit union) with my boys, would I be able to do a electronic fund transfer from my other bank accounts?
