Hello.
I have a question for anyone who went to Cornell and came from outside of New York or maybe even New England, or perhaps is just familiar with this situation. How strongly would you recommend opening up an account with one of the banks near Cornell, because I was looking at nearby banks on campus and in Ithaca and I noticed that I don’t have any of those here at home. So would it be best I make an account at a local bank once I get there or would businesses and other places be fine with accepting things from banks that are out of state. I’m probably not explaining my situation particularly well, but hopefully somebody can shed some light on the situation for me. Thank you and congrats to all the people accepted regular decision today!
We opened a Bank of America account specifically for the purpose. ATM is within the walking distance and quite convenient to access.
