<p>does anyone know how difficult the bar exam is? do a lot of ppl fail it? and do they take it right after law school? you basically need to pass it to get your JD and be a "lawyer"?</p>

<p>Depends. On your school, on yourself and the state. I never took it but thats what the numbers show. Even lesser known schools can pass it.</p>

<p>You don't need to pass it to get your JD. You do need to pass it to practice law.</p>

<p>How tough it is varies enormously from state to state.</p>
