I know this may be way too early, but interviews for Barnard’s potential class of 2023 open in May, and I’ll be in NYC in July.
Does anyone have any tips and pointers for these interviews? Especially since it’s before the actual admission deadline so they wouldn’t have my college application details.
Those tips were useful for my D although is a little different when interviewed on Campus
.My D was interviewed by a nice Senior student majoring in a different area
.Be prepared to ask your own questions (different than the FQ answered in Barnard’s site)
.Have a practice/mock with a relative/teacher
.Be yourself
Good luck
I would say take this chance to present yourself in the most unique way possible, as yourself. This is your one chance to showcase who you are in person, not through some words in your application, you have to present the real you. While you’re there try to smile, warm up to the interviewer, give a positive aura to show that you’d be a good fit for Barnard. Also, be honest, I personally believe interviewers can smell lies and fakeness a mile away.
Are the interviews highly considered?
