Super nervous for thursday!! Got deferred ED, but have been working really close with Barnard to hopefully receive an acceptance this week! Fingers crossed and best of luck to everyone!

I’m just insecure about my testing history. My lowest first SAT of an 1800… Came up to a 2190 though. I hope their score choice thing is true.
@Frenchiezzz , just curious here how were you able to work closely with Barnard? I’m a RD applicant and I sent an email last week with a clarification and addition to my transcript (homeschooled, so it’s a little different than most) and they never emailed me back. It’s fine, I was just concerned that maybe they never got it! Also, any other homeschoolers here?? Anyone know how likely Barnard usually is to admit homeschoolers?
If you look on the admissions site for the counselor for your region, email them. I had an achievement that I needed to tell them about and it was very personalized! @rdancemajor

@triantafilla , that’s exactly what I did! I was just concerned that the email didn’t get through since I didn’t get a response, though I’m sure the counselors have been very busy these last weeks! Did you get a response?
@rdancemajor I’ve emailed my regional counselor on two occasions and never heard anything back. I think it just depends on your person.
hi guys! I’m just checking my financial aid portal to make sure everything went through when I realized there was the date next to my name in a large blue box as 2015/2015 for the award year. Also at the very top it says Current Award Year: and then a mini drop down menu with only 2015/2016 selected. Does everyone have this? thanks!
Also, I agree with @nat97xo. totally depends on your person, because I’ve emailed my counselor many times and she has always responded. I’m sure she was just busy!

Pretty sure that was there when I was looking at D’s last week as I talked to them about some missing docs.
I have that too and like @OHMomof2 I had missing documents, they sent me an e-mail asking me for them.
Not sure if the year next to the name means anything.
I never got any emails from them. I just logged onto the portal for the first time and realized that they don’t have a date for receiving my subject tests or my second teacher recommendation letter… They never even told me they were missing. So pretty much the waiting game to hear back from barnard has been for nothing. Super disappointed now. I guess Barnard will not be my school next year
@paranoidsenior97 I also have that. Ugh…I’ve psyched myself out so many times during this huge wait. Sometimes I convince myself that I got in, sometimes I convince myself that I didn’t. I just want to take a nap and not wake up until Thursday night but at the same time I want to cherish these last few days where I still have hope. The closer we get, the longer time seems to take!
@emibell I would call them tomorrow and ask about it. Maybe they got them and just forgot to update your portal. Hang on, there’s always hope!
@mellin, I am the EXACT same way, and it’ killing me! You have the year thing too? I was kind of hoping it meant something but probably not
