Does anyone have the ($25) Barnes and Noble Membership Card? Do you find it useful?

Saved me quite a bit of money over the years.

have one and i do save alot of money. it can be used by ANYONE in the family so.....all 5 of us use it. if we dont' have the card they can look the number up wit ha phone number.

Don't quote me on this, but I think you have to renew it after a year. After the first year, I stopped using it.

The B&N membership gives you 10-40% off, depending on what you're buying - i.e., it pays for itself after, at most, $250 worth of books. And like Atlmom said, you can share it with your family (or find four friends who are likely to buy $50 or more worth of books).

Although if your college's bookstore is B&N, take note that membership discounts don't apply to B&N college bookstores.

Thank you, everyone, for your responses :-)

I was searching the Internet (half.com, amazon, everyonesbooks, ebay, borders, b&n, etc.) trying to find the best prices on some textbooks for my classes. B&N was one of the best and it also provides Expedited Delivery for free. School starts next Monday, so that would be a faster to receive the books.

I saw that the Membership cardholders get discounts, so that's why I asked if it was useful. My family and I do not buy books from B&N a lot, therefore, I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy the Membership Card. If I buy it, I'd be saving around $11 from buying two books, but paying $25 more (for the membership). I think I'll buy it. That way I can get my Spring textbooks from B&N as well, and save some money.

The books at my college B&N bookstore are too expensive.... :

Great news! I found a coupon code that saved me some money along with the books' discounts. So the discounts basically paid for the $25 Membership card itself already. :-) Yay!

serveral times a year you get additional 15% coupons you can use on cd's or dvd's or books....yep it pays for itself.
