Barron's 3,500 & Gruber's 3,400 Lists

I'm pretty sure that there are other posts like this one, but I'm new to the site, and I'm just figuring it out. Sorry about that!

Anyway, I've started studying for the SAT, and I was wondering if Barron's 3,500 Vocab List and Gruber's 3,400 List are useful at all. I own both prep books, but I've been studying vocab from Direct Hits and Rocket Review for the most part. At my rate, I'll probably be done with both by the end of the summer, leaving me a lot of time left to review, especially since I'll only be a sophomore next year. Should I study the Barron's and Gruber's lists on top of the other lists I'm currently studying from since time isn't a problem for me? How much do you think it would help me if I memorized the entire 3,500 list on top of the DH and RR lists?

I would say if you want to give Barron’s or Gruber’s a shot, go for it. But make sure closer to the test you have the Direct Hit list completely memorized because the list is shorter and has proven to be more successful. Don’t worry about memorizing every word from those big lists, just become familiar with them in case they show up.
