So far I have Gruber's 2008, Rocketreview, and Barron's 2400. Will these 3 books be enough review for the SAT? I heard that Gruber's section on math is the best of its kind, Rocketreview is good for its strategies, and don't know what Barron's excels at.

Will practice be enough for the Critical reading section? Which book is the best for the Writing section?

As for practice, I have the Blue book and the Online course. I've been thinking on whether to buy the old SAT books, but I'm not sure about that either.

i think you should get the old ones when you finish the BB prac tests and the online course tests... and after those u still feel the need for more practice. Then u should buy em.

Actually, I prefer the PR books (either Cracking the SAT if you want strategy or 11 Practice Tests if you just want practice) over Barron's. The tests are much more accurate. Barron's is way harder than the real test.

i think PR's 11 is quite good. i was actually surprised when i sat for the SAT (no play on words intended) that it was easier than the PR's questions. i would recommend it.

Thanks ascend, was exactly what I was looking for.

I heard that Gruber's grammar review is pretty good too.

jon_trac, I think I have vocabulary pretty much taken care of. I have studied Barron's 3500 and Gruber's 3400 as well as the latin roots, prefixes and suffixes. Right now I'm just looking up difficult words that come up in my readings, so I think I'm set.
