Any more "valuable" text prep books I missed out on?

So far I have Gruber's 2008, Rocketreview, and Barron's 2400. Will these 3 books be enough review for the SAT? I heard that Gruber's section on math is the best of its kind, Rocketreview is good for its strategies, and don't know what Barron's excels at.

Will practice be enough for the Critical reading section? Which book is the best for the Writing section?

As for practice, I have the Blue book and the Online course. I've been thinking on whether to buy the old SAT books, but I'm not sure about that either.

Thanks for any input.

maybe PR 11 real?

I think those three are def enough... will take you about two-three months to exhaust

I heard that the PR tests aren't that dependable, but I do have the math/CR/writing workshop books from PR.

I wasn't planning on using them, but I may look over them later

thats enough

What about the old Sat books. Should I get them too?

i think you should get the old ones when you finish the BB prac tests and the online course tests... and after those u still feel the need for more practice. Then u should buy em.

Great, thank you guys for input!

2 more questions and I promise I'm done :)

Do the 10RS books have explanations for their answers?

Which of my books is more reliable for CR and which is best for the Writing section?

Actually, I prefer the PR books (either Cracking the SAT if you want strategy or 11 Practice Tests if you just want practice) over Barron's. The tests are much more accurate. Barron's is way harder than the real test.

The barron's are just way hard

But you feel very confident if you get the q's right :D

You can find explanations to the 10 Real SATs on SAT online test preparation free, college prep instruction, Study Hall, PSAT, sat, vocabulary, speed reading, memory improvement tips.

The latest edition of Kaplan 2400 is quite helpful as well. I used it in conjunction with PR's 11 and got a 2290.

i think PR's 11 is quite good. i was actually surprised when i sat for the SAT (no play on words intended) that it was easier than the PR's questions. i would recommend it.

Btw barrons 2400 is good for CR
Rocket Review for writing
and Grubers for Math

even though barrons math is pretty good (overprepares)

How about trying testmojo: SAT Wordlists ?

Thanks ascend, was exactly what I was looking for.

I heard that Gruber's grammar review is pretty good too.

jon_trac, I think I have vocabulary pretty much taken care of. I have studied Barron's 3500 and Gruber's 3400 as well as the latin roots, prefixes and suffixes. Right now I'm just looking up difficult words that come up in my readings, so I think I'm set.
