I have a few questions. I wrote the diagnostic test and scored 690.

I left 10 blank because I had not seen the concepts before and didn't know how to approach them. I made a few silly errors and had a total of 6 wrong answers.

So, my question is, if I go through all the lessons in Barron's and learn them, will I be 'all set' to score 800? Basically, how much do the lessons increase one's score from the diagnostic? If I learn all the concepts would I be on my way to a shot at 800?

You are probably already on track for an 800, but since you said you missed questions because you feel you haven’t seen the concepts before, you should definitely go through the lessons, focusing on stuff you haven’t seen or forgot.

High 600s and low 700s on Barrons are usually good enough to get an 800 on the real thing, but it doesn’t hurt to overprepare. Make sure you take the Official Study Guide in Math tests to gauge a more accurate score, and to make sure you’re familiar with how the real test is.
