Barron's SAT II Math level 2

Hey guys, I just took the Barrons SAT II math level 2 and I was kind of freaking out because I scored a 690 on it and I'm usually good at math. Any suggestions? I know that Barron tends to overprep you, but still, a 690 on any prep book no matter how hard it could be isn't a good sign for a person hoping to achieve a perfect score. Thanks

Yeah im getting dominated by it too, but my score is a lot worse. kids at my school said they got like 680s on the barrons but got like 750+ the real thing.

Wow, dude. A 690 on Barron's is a really good score.

Take a practice test from PR. I'll be really surprised if you get much less than an 800.

At this point, stop practicing with barron's, use some easier/more realistic test material to build up your confidence and give you a real feel for the test.

You'll do great.

Thanks guys, I guess the PR book would yield a more realistic score. I don't know why barron overpreps, but I kind of like it because if you could ace it, then you can for sure ace the real thing.

2nd what unleashedfury said. I get like 650s on the barrons practice test but on the collegeboard practice problems, I got all out of 20 except like 2.

I just took another Barron's practice test and I got a 710. So I guess I am pretty good shape with the SAT II math; however, I managed to get a lot wrong on the practice problems from the collegboard practice problems. Does that mean that I'm actually better at solving barron problems than the real thing? It would suck if I got a lower score than the barrons.

the thing is, i got about 740 on barrons from my latest practice test, but omitted about 6 and got 5 wrong..

that doesn't seem plausible.. is it? my raw score was 38...

I also feel the same way.
When I do Kaplan’s McGraw-Hills and PR test I get 800s but in the Barron’s one I get 740…
According to my friends that already took the test Barron’s is much harder than the real one.

I never got more than 700 on Barron’s Math II tests. But on the real test, I got 800. So don’t worry. :]

If Im getting 650’s (or mid 600s. Anywhere from 640-670) on practice tests in the Barrons book, do you think I could get a 720 on the real test? Or should I keep on studying some more??

DEFINITELY 720. no need to worry. i was in the same range and got a 760 last year.

I’ve been scoring around 780 on the barrons, you guys think I’m good?

Are you serious? You guys are really crying over like mid to low 700s on BARRON’S?

I just took a practice test, and basically gave up after #31, with like 8ish wrong and with like 5 days until the test.

Then again, only in CC does such a world exist…

Closest I’ve got on Barron’s at the moment is 780.

Can’t someone post the link to the correct barrons book for math 2 from amazon? There’s like several versions.

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

Hey! I just bought both Barrons and Princeton Review Math IIC. I am kind of freak out because math I have been doing is in my Precalculus class. Should I go over whole prep book or just take practice tests and what? I know majority of stuff mentioned in SAT Math IIC curriculum but I am kind of frak out! What kind of strategy should I implant?

i have been studying for math for like a week now. i just took a practice test from barrons and i got a 720. do you think i could get an 800 with that? i really need this 800 because i really messed up all my other subject tests.

I maxes at 640 on Barrons and got a 770 on the real thing.

oh ok. thanks. im just stressed. this 800 means a lot. i guess if thats the case then there is hope!

I found the scores on sparknotes to be more accurate, usually within 30 of what I actually got.
