Math II: For Those of You Who Used Barron's...

...what were you scoring on their practice tests, and how did you do on the real test?

From my experience most people score around mid to high 600s on Barrons and usually get a 800 on the real test pretty easy.

I scored 740, 760, and 740 on the Barron’s tests and got an 800 on the real thing.

Okay, that’s good to hear. I’ve been getting mid-700s, but I wasn’t sure what that equates to on a real exam.

I was getting mid to high 600s on Barron’s, but I still pulled off 800s on both of my SAT IIs. Good luck!

Wow, just today I pulled an 800 on a Barron’s practice test. Guess I ain’t studying for that anymore…

Can you guys please tell me how ease are they? I mean on the real test. Thnx.

Well first take a test in the Barron’s book and see what you get. It’s really hard to tell you what’s easy and what’s not b/c we have no idea what your strengths or weaknesses are.

I got a 700 on the first Barrons test and people told me that wasn’t good enough if I want an 800, is this false info?

^ I got a 730 or 740 on the diagnostic and an 800 on the real thing. I did end up studying through Barron’s and taking three more practice tests, however. I think the extra practice is good security, and it provides you with a lot of valuable experience so that you don’t choke on test day.

I got a 670 on Barron’s the night before and got an 800 on the actual exam.

Yeah, high 600s on Barron’s usually equates to an 800 on the real test.

If you get near 700 on the Barrons, then you should easily get 800 on the real thing

Just got a new record of 720! I’m gonna keep with my one a week plan though so I can stay sharp, and in case I choke or something. It’d be nice if I could get over 750 on one of the next practice tests I take.

Ranged from 650 - 710 on Barron’s and easily pulled off an 800 on the real thing

Averaged between 780-800 on Barron’s, getting an 800 on Math II was relatively straightforward, but not as easy as some others seem to claim on this thread. From my experience, people who are scoring in the low 700s and high 600s in Barron’s just aren’t fully grasping the concepts, so getting an 800 on the real test without somewhat similar scores on Barrons is more of a challenge than suggested.

I got a 720 on Barron’s and I haven’t taken the test yet. I think it’s to my advantage to take one or two more.

I scored a 740 on a timed barrons practice test, am I set as long as I don’t make silly mistakes?

Are you guys talking about Barron’s 10e? I just scored an 800 on the Model Test 1 for that edition, and I honestly feel like I don’t know any of the concepts truly well.

I didn’t time it though, as I was doing stuff in between (I think I took roughly an hour though). Is time generally a significant constraint on this test?

got like 580-630 on barrons

780 on real SAT II test

scored like 710, 730 on The official SAT subject tests in mathematics 1, 2

i should’ve gotten an 800 … dumb mistakes though
if your getting in the high 600s -800 then ur set for 700 +
