How accurate are the practice exams for spanish (reading only) in Barron's? Are they like the other subjects from Barron's and extremely difficult compared to the real one? or is it realistic? too easy? Thanks

bump...anyone?

The book only gives score ranges, so I had to do an estimate of the actual score each time I took it. These were my scores from the book:
1. 640
2. 690
3. 550

My actual score: 730

The review was pretty helpful for me, since I've only taken up to Spanish III so far, but there were a few noticeable errors. The good thing is that they were noticeable. ;) Mostly just extra spaces in columns that mixed up entire parts of columns and stuff.

barrons is awesome because u think u did sucky but you actually do awesome because the curve in their book is so hard

I was shocked by my third score, but I knew I'd do well anyways just because. lol

The review doesn't overprepare you at all, and the tests are much like the real thing, just harder. It's not like other books where the difficulty of the test will throw you off when you take the real thing.

Good luck.:)

I don't think it overprepares you at all, as I only got a 680. I thought I'd do much better. (And Spanish is one of my strong subjects).

same.. I was definitely expecting to be overprepared, as I was while using Barron's for Math IIc...... for Spanish, i was getting consistently around 700s-750s.. and one or two tests were like 750-800... however my actual score ended up being around 710 and i was fairly disappointed... I was lookin to re-take it, but will have no time b/c I'm taking SAT in December --- anyways lol back to the point, i would STILL recommend the book, although i did about 40 points lower than I expected

Thanks everyone. Grxkn, are those three scores in order? or was the 550 the first one you took?

They are in order. Yeah, I was shocked too. lol Must have been extra hard, or maybe I was tired or something.
