BAS vs BSE Computer Science

The Bachelor of Applied Science vs Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Other than the course requirements being different (BAS allows more electives which we can pursue as a minor, I think, and BSE takes the CIS 371 and 380 classes that the BAS doesn't), how are the two different when it comes to reputation / careers? I've heard people saying that the BAS is regarded as a "cop-out," but I'm not sure of the validity of that. Is one actually better than the other when it comes to post-graduation?

Since the BAS requires more electives from the college, I think you would be getting a more concept based education than a more practical and case based one from SEAS. Not sure which one is more useful for post-grad but depending on what you do (MA or PhD compared to an MBA?) you might come off as better due to the intellectual education from CAS.
