Based on my SAT scores, what do you think my aim should be?

So this past June, I took my first SAT. Writing: 620 Math:670 CR: 510 I studied mainly for Math. Whenever I got tired of Math, I went to Writing. I didn't study CR. My next and last test will be in Oct.

Do you think it will be very hard to raise my math grade up to a 700? Because I feel like i've kind of reached my peak on that but if not, I don't want to spend a lot of time on working on math when my CR is so low, you know?

For writing, i'm aiming for a 700. Is that outrageous?

For CR, i'm pretty clueless on. I'd be lucky, I think, if I hit a 700. I think I'm going to aim for that but i'm more expecting around the 650 region.

I know if I was to hit a 700, I have to aim higher than that so my goal will be positively reached. What do you say of these aims?

Have you looked at the SAT Prep subforum? There are pinned guides, specifically xiggi’s and silverturtle’s guides, which outline a study plan to boost your scores. Work through those and see where you end up. It’s definitely possible for an 1800 scorer to break into the 2100/2200 range with the right kind of practice.

Alright, thanks

Not outrageous at all.

I had similar scores and was able to get them closer to the 700 range. Just work on practice tests and strategies and see what works for you. Invest in study guides/books and Google online resources as well.

Good luck!
