What score can I aim for?

Ok, so I initially took the March SAT practically cold. Here are my results:

March SAT:

M: 640
CR: 610
W: 640 (E:9)
Composite: 1890

I then proceeded to take my June SAT with a fair amount of preparation. I went to some tutoring sessions and I worked a couple of practice tests a week before the SAT. I definitely wouldn't call my preparation intensive in any way.

June SAT:

M: 640
CR: 640
W: 750 (E:8)
Composite: 2030

I was actually pleasantly surprised by my June SAT; I really had no clue what to expect. Strangely, I expected writing to be slightly better than my math; I expected reading to be my best.

Anyways, my ultimate goal is a 2100. I'd be very satisfied with a 2100. A real reach score would be 2200 for me. Anything beyond that would be absolutely wonderful.

So with this said, what can I aim for? What can I expect? I'm really going to put a lot of time preparing for this SAT. I think that I can safely say that a 2100 is viable; is a 2200 feasible? Any improvement stories that are similar to mine?

Thanks a lot for reading!

Any ideas?

Depending on how intensively you prepare for a third test, you could see an increase. If you are willing to dedicate yourself and take multiple practice tests and constantly review, it is likely that you could increase your scores. I think reaching 2100 is an achievable goal. I found that I was able to increase my math scores simply by going over multiple math practice tests sections to get a grasp on the kinds of questions the SAT consistently asks. Really, to improve in any category, you just need to be dedicated to studying constantly in order to nail the test format and subject matter.

Thanks jamiemose. I hear that I can definitely bump up my math scores. If I learn more vocab, I think I can increase my CR scores.

I think you can raise your score by a pretty decent amount. Not sure how much, though. I’m curious as to what other people have to say about the matter.

Thanks Redsoxfan. I’m curious as well. Anybody else?

With intensive practice you could definitely do it. You really have to commit to it though.
