What do you guys think: should I go slowly through the SAT, get nearly every question correct, but omit two or three questions (if I'm aiming for as perfect of a score as I can get), or bulldoze through the exam? I recently was told to adopt the former method, but seeing I can barely finish the exam when I do fly through it, I can't imagine what would happen if I slow down. The person who told me to slow down also mentioned that if you practice a lot, you'll get so good that you will be quick without trying.

Leaning towards the former. Don’t go too slowly, of course, there’s no need to mull over the question for a half an hour. But don’t put down an answer unless you know it’s right; there’s a penalty for guessing. Focus on getting questions right, rather than just answering them, even if it takes more time. And yes, speed increases dramatically with practice.

Thanks so much for your advice!
