hahahahaahaha

Donlon: Three communal bathrooms within 3-4 rooms of the room my S is in...one for men, one for women, one for anyone...4-6 showers (can't quite remember & didn't actually count!) in each...each shower has curtained shower head space, and curtained change-your-clothes space...several stalls, several sinks...

At the central point (Donlan has 3 wings per floor) of each floor is a large, comfortable lounge (w/tv) and a full kitchen...

No clue what the other dorms look like-- but Cornell's website does a pretty decent job of describing them (at least it seems pretty decent after you've seen them!)

Uh oh, they aren't coed bathrooms...are they?

NONE of the bathrooms at Cornell are co-ed.

Not true. Risley has co-ed bathrooms galore. So does Balch, actually. Usually a couple of bathrooms in Balch are designated co-ed, for the male guests of course.

Does Risley have any non-coed bathrooms? I'd really like to stay in Risley my second year, but not if all of the bathrooms are coed.

Donlon has co-ed bathrooms.

Ughhh all of them are coed? That's so gross, why do they even make those?

No. On my floor (and presumably all the others) there's one male, one female, and one co-ed.

Virgins in Risley is an all girls hall and Monks in Risley is all boys hall

Ack, the bathroom situation...

I hope they have suites or something

i still don't get it despite all the explaining. so i'm imagining in the dorms there are long halls, and on each hall there are individual rooms on each side (kinda like a prison). there are lounges, bathrooms, kitchen area at the end of the hall or somewhere near. so everyone in the hall share those bathrooms.

or is it like a long hall and behind each door, there is a suite with several rooms and a common bathroom, lounge, etc? thanks!
