<p>Oh, and the other thing I left out is that people often use handwritten signs signifying, "Woman in Shower" or (somewhat less) "Man in Shower". As implied above, a lot really depends on courtesy, trust and just plain common sense.</p>

<p>i lived in an all girls dorm, and we made a sign that said "boy in bathroom" and a guy would just flip the sign over when he went in the bathroom - that was there was no suprise if you went in there and saw a guy.</p>

<p>Wear shower slippers! Even if the stalls are thoroughly cleaned every day, there may have been 3-4 people bare-footed in that stall ahead of you on any given day.</p>
