Hey just wanted to know, are the tests offered in the SAT Official Online course different from those in the BB(second edition)?
thanks!

you buy then you will know=)

^ Even if you purchase both, you will have a hard time finding out any redundancies.

Yes, the tests in the BB are different from the tests on the Online course, but I heard that the Online course tests were perhaps outdated.

In what way?

yeah in what way??

@benhpark- so is it a good idea buying both??

Definitely buy the Blue Book. I don’t know about the Online Course though, because I personally think all those dollars could be spent somewhere more worthwhile, for example buying a prep book.

I suggest to buy Online Corse rather than book.

I have the online course. It’s hard to do practice tests from a computer screen and your eyes do strain after reading passages for critical reading for a short period of time. It’s also hard to print the tests because they’re so many pages long. In hindsight, I definitely would not have made the purchase, it’s too inconvenient and, if used correctly, the Blue Book should be more than enough practice tests. The smartest thing to do with your money, in terms of the SAT, is to buy both volumes of Direct Hits.

markzillyway,
It’s hard to print? Oh my God, I had printed 700 pages in 2 hours, maybe less.

Why?
a) Blue Book is MUCH cheaper while having the same number of tests.
b) You don’t have to waste tons of paper printing out tests if you get the Blue Book.
c) Blue Book is much more convenient.

@Suleyman,

Most of us don’t have that much time nor resources to waste, especially when the BB is much better in terms of practice content.

^ Agreed. 10char

thanks everybody, i have already completed the BB, wanted additional tests, that give an accurate prediction
any suggestions??
@markzillyway-i AM planning to buy direct hits :)

@ OP

The tests are different from the ones in the BB. The online course can be purchased from ebay for 10 dollars. If you intend on printing out the tests i highly suggest you use a laser printer.

light source,
Course is better because.
1)real test is in comuter screen.
2) nearly 600-1000 practice quizzes and assgiments.
3)essay-scoring
4)you don’t need to print it because real test is in computer.
I don’t suggest BB.
1)few practice exercies
2)bad paper.

@jayxbx, purchases from ebay?? for 10 bucks? would u know of any reputed seller off hand??

Suleyman95 is not only misleading, but also vague in his explanations. What does he mean by “bad paper?” What is wrong with the tests done on a computer screen? Of course, you will be vomiting, I guarantee, after taking the test assiduously on a computer screen, which will most likely make your eyes spinning widely and your face twitching out of control.

Also, what Jayxbx mentioned seems like the tests are from illegitimate source, not endorsed by the College Board. The actual course is more expensive.

hey i already have the bluebook, have completed all the tests, wanted some more practice, which books would you’ll recommend??
