<p>I think a few B's are fine. I know people with several B's sophmore and freshman year that got into ivy's and great schools like caltech. Its also about improvement. If you got B's freshman and beg. of soph. year, then pull straight A's for the rest of HS, if you have a good resume then I think you have a shot at many top schools. Only when it gets to HYPM etc, then a B will hurt. Places like cornell, duke, dartmouth, penn, etc. I think you can get in with several B's, if you have other hooks and make up for it with sports or a great SAT score.</p>
