<p>Crusaders Take Down Boston College 86-64</p>
<p>WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior guard Devin Brown (Baltimore, Md.) totaled a season-high 32 points, five rebounds and five assists, to lead the Holy Cross men’s basketball team to an 86-64 victory over Boston College at the DCU Center. Brown hit 11 of 19 shots from the field, including five of nine attempts from three-point range, and also connected on five of seven free throws. The Crusaders improve to 1-2 on the season with the victory, while the Eagles fall to 1-1 overall.</p>
<p>Holy Cross hit 53.4 percent of its field goal attempts in the game (31 of 58) and 52.4 percent of hits three-pointers (11 of 21). The Crusaders also held a 38-29 advantage on the glass, and committed just nine turnovers all night. In addition, Holy Cross snapped a four-game losing streak against Boston College, with its first win over the Eagles since 2002.</p>
<p>The game was close early on, and Holy Cross held a 16-13 advantage with 10:22 left in the first half. The Crusaders then went on a 12-3 run over the next four minutes, to claim a 12-point lead (28-16). Boston College would cut the gap to six points on two occasions, before Holy Cross took a 38-30 lead into the locker room at halftime.</p>
<p>The Eagles trimmed their deficit to five points early in the second half (45-40), before Brown scored the next four points to put the Crusaders back up by nine. Holy Cross would later hold a 60-50 lead with 10 minutes left in regulation, when it went on a 12-1 run to put the game away. Brown would score eight more points during that spurt, with two three-pointers and a break away dunk. Boston College would get no closer than 19 points the rest of way, before the Crusaders eventually posted a 22-point victory.</p>
<p>Junior guard R.J. Evans (Salem, Conn.) finished the night with 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals, while sophomore forward Dave Dudzinski (Elburn, Ill.) added 10 points and six rebounds. The Eagles were led by Jordan Daniels with 15 points.</p>
<p>Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 20, when it travels to Fairfield for a 1:00 p.m. game.</p>
