How many of you accepted students got into this also? It said I was in the top 5% of applicants, but does that mean only 5% of admitted applicants got offered this?

i thought that we hear about the Honors Program in the spring

I got into it.

i got into it too...!yay!

what kind of stats do you need to have to get in?

...good ones

YAY I got in too! Stats are on the Decision thread.

someone look into their CAS booklet that came into it and fill us in as to how many people are in the CAS honors program. Carroll only has 30-35 students so i'd be interested to know.

i think i saw like 160 from cas are eventually in it by sophomore year when other freshmen get accepted...i got it too but was veryyy suprised

yeah i got in too.....is it associated with merit money?

the honors program pamphlet that came with my acceptance letter said that about 185 students will eventually enroll. it didn't say how many were actually accepted, though...

RunRinCT, it is not associated with money. It's simply indicative of the top 5% of applicants from each school. That being said, it can be logically assumed that the 15 Presidential Scholars (and the 60 chosen to be interviewed) will come from that lot.

the honors program has a lower yield than the school as a whole also, take that into account, because kids are choosing against better schools
