I am a prospective student and wondering whether the same on campus recruiting opportunities in Investment banking, S&T, and consulting are offered to Finance majors as Econ majors in MCAS. I’m also wondering if one is typically considered harder to achieve a high GPA in than the other other. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Marginal recruiting advantage to CSOM.
Grades really depend on your personal academic interests, as the curriculums are different. A&S has a Core of traditional general education requirements. CSOM has a Core of bidness requirements.
Which of those that you’ll thrive in depends on your skill set and interests.
Good luck.
Carroll is developing a brand. I think it offers an advantage. You can receive a minor from CSOM from MCAS.
The course load in MCAS is equally challenging and the work load is serious in both.
The Econ vs finance or biz school Econ is generally considered a difference between research and applied approaches.
I have been made aware that the Carroll students think it gets progressively more difficult. MCAS students (I only know in the science side) which is tough out of the gate.
Core is the same obviously.
