be an Acutuary

Which college is best for actuary?? east coast prefer.

My friend’s son, a brilliant underachiever, went to U Mass at Amherst (not Amherst College) and is an actuary. He initially worked for an insurance company but is now with a consulting company. He does very well and enjoys his work.

[Actuarial Science Schools](http://www.actuary.com/actuarial-science-schools/)

Is it ranked, XD

On the east coast the best by far is the University of Connecticut. However, if you want to be an actuary, a math or stats major at any school will be sufficient.

Do those prestigious schools like UC Berkeley or UCLA have good business majors…

Both do have excellent business majors, but you would have a hard time becoming an actuary as a business major. You need much more math then you will see in most business majors. You could go to one of those schools and major in math/stats and become an actuary.
