“Hard or practical.”

You forgot a lot, then.

“Hard or practical.”

You forgot a lot, then.

And squid. Squidward is half naked too, and Plankton is completely naked.

We need a psychology major to look into the nudity of all these sea creatures.

Some sort of Freudian complex.

Business and education are impractical? Haha.

I bet you are majoring in economics.

Can’t read? I’m saying that they’re practical, but that they still don’t deserve spots on my list. They’re usually cop-out majors for idiots or people with no direction.

Math/Econ double major. If you guessed math as well then props to you.

I agree that a lot of idiots do business majors. Doesn’t make the whole field worthless.

I made my list as a result of what I think of people who take those majors, though.

writing is easy? i suppose it is if you don’t worry about the quality, but there are a lot of poor writers in college. i’ve read many college papers, and i still can’t believe how bad some of them were…and this was at harvard!

there are several different ways they can be bad: word choice, organization, punctuation/grammar, use of inappropriate sources, lack of explanation for how examples/evidence support the argument, lack of transitions, lack of argument or sometimes lack of any discernible point. the papers often have problems with several of these. poor word choice drives me crazy!

american high schools do not prepare most students for writing 25-page research papers. they take a crash course in it when they go to college. people with a natural affinity for language and the ability to think critically can usually learn to write a decent paper, but some people never learn, even at the best schools.

writing well is not easy.

I’ve gotten an A in every humanities/social sciences course I’ve ever taken, with minimal effort. And my writing skills are by no means as good as my math/physics/etc. skills.

Intro humanities and social sciences courses tend to be easy.

Wow.

Maybe you are taking blow off/intro classes then?

All of mine are HARD. :(

That’s the same for everything. You’re in math, you should know how hard partial differential equations is compared to calc 1, or how hard group theory is compared to intro linear algebra. I’m comparing them to intro science/engineering courses. And 2 of the courses that I took weren’t intro.

I will pretend I understood what you just said about math.

You got an A in a whole two courses at one university?! The whole field must be super easy then!

Also, I’ve taken Calc I and II (I’m an incoming sophomore) and they were a lot easier for me than humanities courses. Multiple intelligences.

Can of worms. Opened.

“No, anthropologists generally watch primates or primitive tribes. Modern society is studied by sociologists.”

That’s not true. It’s like saying that musicians generally play the piano or guitar. Anthropology is more than watching primates or primitive tribes and there are plenty of anthropologists that study modern society.

I said 2 senior courses. 6 soc. sciences/humanities courses total. I’ve been in Uni for 4 years; you’ve been in it for 1. Donnie, you’ve got no frame of reference.

Shouldn’t this entire thread be in the College Majors -> Other Majors forum?

Edit: I change my mind, parapsychology is the silliest major.
Edit2: Woot!1! 100th
