Be honest

Well I think you just kicked Cambridge in the butt.

Well, to "be honest" I lifted the example from a website. (;

Thanks guys, reading your responses makes me feel a little better. I'm just going to try and not worry about it anymore.

KGZotu.......former Marine?

Yeah, out in 29 Palms...been out for a couple of years, though.

I was stationed at Pendleton. Got out a couple years ago too. Where are you applying to? Happy to be out?

Well, I'm trying to get in Berkeley, SD, Davis, and I've got SC just in case.

Yeah, glad to be out. I've got some very fond memories, but I enjoy civilian life more. Just wasn't made to be a lifer, you know how it goes. (;

I see you've got some similar schools. Good luck. (;

wow

i was just so happy to get done with the apps, that i NEVER went back to look at them for typos (or anything, really). i don't see the point at looking back once the essays are submitted. it'll just start playing mind tricks with you...

feuerwerke, I agree. I did the same exact thing you did...once I submitted it I didn't look back.

I can honestly say I tried my absolute best and gave my schooling and app everything I had. I truly gave 100%.

I read a quote just the other day that seemed very fitting (and made me tempted to post it in every "OMG WOT ARE MY CHANCES!!!11!" thread lol):

"When we have done our best, we should await the result in peace."

The only way typos, misspellings or grammatical errors will harm your application is if the errors alter the information you are trying to portray in a way that the reader cannot make sense of the information. Remember we aren’t giving a grade on these statements like instructors grade essays (this is why we don’t call the statement Personal Essay”) we are reading the statement for information; if we can understand the information the statement serves its purpose. Spelling and grammar is still very important since it helps portray the message of the statement in a clearer and shorter fashion.

yeah, nice one Edward. :)
