Bearfacts says "Honors to 5-11"?

Hi all,

When I go to BearFacts -> Academic Record -> All Grades, underneath all my grades for Spring Term, it says HONORS TO 05-11.

Does anyone know what this means? What were the requirements, and did it include Fall Term as well? Thanks.

Nevermind, I found the answer here[/URL">http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/honor/honor.html"]here.

But I’m still wondering how this works over time. Do they just list the months on BearFacts that you got this, or does it only show that date for the last one received?

it means that at the end of each semester, they check your cumulative GPA and when it is above the limit they set for honors, your records are flagged as Honors to xx-xx with the month and year of the year. If you fall below the cutoff next semester, you won’t see any mention, but if you get back over the minimum for the following spring, you would see Honors to 05-12 That is, it is not months five through eleven (may to november), but the date when the entry was posted or updated.

really, caltanner, really…?

i think that means you’re on probation or something…

woohoo!

HONORS TO 05-08

HONORS TO 12-08

HONORS TO 05-09

HONORS TO 12-09

HONORS TO 05-10

HONORS TO 12-10

HONORS TO 05-11

^ Haha nice, I guess that answers my question

You need 12 letter graded units to be elligible for the honors, yet I got it despite only having 11 how strange haha

12 letter grade units CUMULATIVE, not semester. Happened to me as well.
