Bedding?

I was wondering what would be the best mattress topper for a very uncomfortable dorm mattress? My daughter doesn't like those pads with the points. Also, she has a regular twin but was told to bring x-long twins so they would fit over the toppers. Has anyone heard of that? If you end up with a couple of toppers, will a twin fitted still fit?

I got a 3 inch memory foam topper on sale at Bed, Bath & Beyond. It doesn’t have a textured top or anything, and that should be something that would work for your daughter. I don’t know if a twin sheet will still fit, since I have a twin XL bed at school & got twin XL sheets accordingly. Figure out how deep her mattress is, plus the depth of two toppers. The dimensions for the twin sheets should say what depth of a bed they’ll fit. I know my twin XL sheets from PB Teen fit up to 15", and if twin sheets are like that, she should be fine.

I got a 4" memory foam topper from Wal Mart and it’s SUPER COMFY! I unrolled it already because the box said that it would smell (and that was normal and goes away, which it did) but I didn’t want to deter people from my dorm because it smelled like icky memory foam.

Either way, the Wal Mart 4" topper was only like $80, which is still half the price of the ones I’ve seen at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

i have to agree with the others, memory foam all the way
