I was in Temple University from 2007 to 2008 under Biochemistry major. During that time, I didn't perform well (GPA 3.2).
Then I joined and served the Army for 5 years. Recently, I got back home.

I am interested in applying for medical school after I get my bachelor degree.
So, my question is:

Should I even consider retaking some of classes I already took in Freshman year to raise up GPA and to refresh for McAT?

It seems average GPA should be at least 3.6 for decent medical schools.
I would like to hear your opinions. Thanks.

I think you would be better off posing such questions in the premed and med school forum, since it doesn’t really have anything to do with Temple, per se. 3.2 is certainly reasonably good for most purposes.

hey, i am a bit confused. do u only have one year of college under yuor belt? and thanks for serving in the military!! And i agree with brownparen, the premed and med school forums are a great place to ask these questions too. but keep ur questions on here too. i know one of our posters, futuredoc, is a premed student and there may be other premed studnets on here too. i also suggest u send futuredoc a private message on this as they will have a better answer than me.
