If your looking to score in double digits for your essay, is starting out with a quote a no-no?

bumping this

I’d say it depends on the relevance of the quote to the assignment; if it is relevant, though, it’s fine.

Have you every got double digits using a quote?

Yes…using a quote is a fine way to start the essay, its sort of like an attention grabber. However, it must be relevant to the topic. I have used a quote before and scored 11. In fact, I used a quote to start off my essay yesterday

Thanks.
Do you consider it risky to start off with something less attention grabbing like

Never considered this. I always start with a technical 3 sentence prompt. I’m sure it’d be impressive.
