being a veternarian

What should you major in if you wanna be a vet or a vet technician? I wanna be a vet I'm having trouble figuring out what my major should be

Look up Veterinary Science majors. Very competitive. You don’t need a college degree to be a vet tech.

Most pre-vet students will major in a biology field (e.g., general biology, microbiology, zoology, ecology & evolutionary biology) or in animal science. You can major in other fields as long as you complete the pre-vet requirements.

You can look at your regional veterinary school to see what the requirements are. Since the veterinary schools take mostly in state students, your in state school is your most likely bet. On your other thread, you mentioned UMD so for Maryland ( if that is your state) it is:

Whatever you major in, be sure to take the classes that are required for admission. Most of these are fulfilled with a major in sciences- chemistry, biology.

Veterinary Technology is a different path way, with classes being usually at 2 year colleges. This is an example of one in Maryland.
