people keep on telling me that i have the body of an athlete and that i have a good build (good height, solid legs, no belly, solid pecs, biceps etc.).

however, after commenting on my built, they go on to ask "what sport do you play?" (not even a "do you play a sport?"..they just assume i do).

and then i have to say "um, i don't play sports". and then they're like o_o.

i am a very very clumsy/slow person (probably because i never play video games in my life that requires good reactions of any kind, haha) and i am an embarassment at almost all sports (i am really really bad.../sigh)

so yea...i guess i just want to get this out. i mean, i work out in my school's gym whenever i have gym class, and i walk a lot on purpose (i.e. walking home from school, which takes around 90 minutes)...but i am a huge nerd (i was reading classics when i was 13, when other boys were all outside playing baseball or something, lol)...and am not athletic at all.

good genes and a good diet? the walking probably helps. maybe all your brain power is burning mass amounts of calories? lucky you though, others have to work for it:)

ahh my mistake Code H! hmm be optimistic embrace your physical defiance of social convention and clique versatility—conquer your high school with your cliche bending physique!

its hard because people judge others by appearance (like duh!).

so naturally, the jocks (who i don’t like anyways) shy away from me after they find out that i suck at sports. and the nerds (who i side myself with more) are wary of me because i don’t seem like ‘their kind’.

I believe you! well if you want to visually identify yourself more with the nerds/rebels/hipsters maybe adjust your dress habits? that could work, and I must admit I do judge books by their covers (the convalescent written by jessica anthony is an example of why one should judge a book by its cover) so yes, maybe a sartorial adjustment could help remedy your quandary?

But that’s good. Being flexible has a lot of benefits. It’s kinda awkward when you stretch with your team though. You kinda just have to pretend to do what everyone else is doing…because no one likes a “show-off” It sucks though because you don’t actually get to stretch.

Like Batllo said, pilates/yoga will increase body awareness. And you’ll probably find yourself getting better at sports. It’ll be fun to play the occasional ultimate frisbee.

^ lol
CodeH then I shall reiterate be proud of your unique ability to straddle–haha no pun intended different social groups, it seems that you enjoy doing your own thing and not fitting in so don’t get bothered by “jocks” and “nerds” who are baffled by your body. bask in their baffledness:)

smilemyonly…did yo just ask for my picture? haha.

okay, that comment sounds weird reading back, haha.

what i mean is…in gym, when you sit down with your legs lined up in front of you…and NOT like putting your head in the cro— area (oh god, ew…what i wrote really did come out wrong…)

S/he’s lying. Pun intended all the way. Oh and remember SUNS OUT GUNS OUT, unfortunately its winter here though. But don’t hide those suckerrs forever! ;)

i reiterate that i meant sitting down on the floor and putting my head all the way down to my hip area…you know, the stretch you do in gym class…i didn’t mean umm…yea…lol

the thing is, i grew up as the chubby kid and i hated the showoffs in gym class who can do a ton of pull ups and push ups. so i promise myself to never be a showoff no matter what.

thats why i hate those guys in the locker room who runs around naked…haha.
