Being in touch with the admission officers?

hey, do you stay in touch with the AOs? some of my friends said that staying in touch with admission officers would help… and some said that it would only bother them…

i didn’t do anything besides making sure all my materials arrive to them…

I haven't contacted admissions officers for any of my colleges... except to send a brief letter updating a couple things about my application.

i am just toooo nervous...

D never contacted them and she is a junior.

I haven't and I'm sure it's not necessary. Tons of people get in to many selective places, including Amherst, without establishing a relationship with the admissions officers.

I keep in contact with one admissions officer because I am a legacy and met her through that connection. I am totally nervous too, and I am always careful not to bombard. I wouldn't email an admissions officer whom I did not know personally for anything more than basic information.

I used to think I had to frequently keep in touch with all the colleges I'm applying to. But a friend told me it didn't matter, so I've stopped sending emails all the time. (A sensitive and reasonable thing, if you think about it)

yes, i have done nothing more and will keep distance from them~
