Do you guys think that if you're the only one to have applied to Pton from your school in like 10 years and more, that it will play out negatively or positively?

when i was at a Princeton admissions info session, i asked that question and they said that if you are a strong canidate, its positive

Oh, thnx so... let's hope I'm a strong candidate

eventer31590: Seriously? I'm probably the only one in the history of my school to apply to Princeton...=P

Me too haru07, and I'm like "What if they think my school is crappy?"

i'm the first too, i think its kind of like a diversity thing or a semi-hook, they are always trying to get kids from different areas, granted you still have to be qualified for admission and its not guaranteed

Yeah eventer same here, the thing is i'm international and from my country there is this other school that pton almost every year accepts students so i don't know how good it is that my school has no reputation

What if one or two people have applied, but didn't get in, and nobody's gone there from your school in, like, ever?

I have no clue clendenator, i hope eventer is correct

my school has like 20 applicants every year and no one has gotten in yet- sucks for me :(

wow and you go to one of the competitive entrance hs in new york, right?

yeah...we have kids going to every other ivy and teir 1 school except for princeton...it just doesn't like us- i mean 1000 kids every year for like ever and last person was like class of 75 so no one has gotten in the last 30 years

Hmm, I'm not sure if being the first is a plus, but I was accepted and I'm the first one from my school (my school isn't really known for any achievement... aka, "crappy"). Even if it were a plus, one would definitely need scores, grades, ECs, good recs, etc nonetheless.
