Does the number of people who apply from your school matter?

Apparently two people from my school got in early decision. Both were recruited for football. During the RD round a guy from my school with double legacy and a higher GPA, and slightly better SAT will also be applying.

How likely would it be for Princeton to accept four people from the same school? I don't like my odds :(.

Officially...no; unofficially, I think it does...

Hmmm to a certain extent yes. I know five people personally (maybe a couple more I don't know about) who applied ED to Princeton. I know one got in so far. I haven't heard from the other four but I'm sure at least two more got in. (ALL their stats are very strong) But Princeton accepts a certain set number. Last year, I think we had 4 or 5 kids who got in. And the year before we had 6. Or 5? But the average number is around 4-6.

Well, 9 kids from a local school got in last year.

I guess I have nothing to worry about, except that the average for my school is 2.

11argon, I could be wrong, but doesn't Princeton generally accept several from the local high school in Princeton every year?

I've heard that some private schools have minimum quotas at certain schools?
