I wasn't invited as a sr. for the program but I do want to apply later on....the website stated that prospective students should consider take some Ben Franklin Seminar courses that non Ben Franklin scholar could take...Does anyone know what some of those courses are that non-Ben Franklin Scholar students can take?

“Undergraduates do not have to be a member of the Benjamin Franklin Scholars program in order to enroll in a BFS Seminar. Most seminars leave at least one third of the seats open to students not currently in the program.”

[Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships](<a href=“Penn CURF”>Penn CURF)

You, however, may be limited by your familiarity with the subject matter:

“Some BFS courses are introductory courses, appropriate for students interested in a subject in which they have no prior experience; others require substantial bases of knowledge for you to really get something out of the semester.”

[Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships](<a href=“Penn CURF”>Penn CURF)

“Honors” students (BFS, JWS, UScholars, joint degree programs, etc) get preference in registering for BFS classes during advance registration, but they are indeed open to everyone, and equally available during add/drop.

the bfs courses seem really hard though. i was invited to the program but i don’t know if it’s worth it. is there a bad, wharton-like curve?
