Benefits for US citizens studying in UK?

I was just curious whether US Citizens receive any benefits if they were to study as an international student in the UK. I know that you don't need a Visa to visit if you are from the US, etc. Just curious if there are any other advantages I don't know of....

Free comprehensive health care.

Hey I'm currently at Edinburgh... Granted I'm applying to transfer, but here it goes.

Pro's
-Live in the UK
-Much more independent, you'll most likely be self-catered/living in a flat by second year if not first
-No 'core requirements' as in English, math, science, history, etc.
-Much more specialized degree
-It's a 3 year degree if you go to England
-It's cheaper
-Incredibly expensive I wouldn't trade for anything.
-Travel Europe cheap

Con's
-Curriculum is so narrow you can't do pre-professional programs. Why I'm applying to transfer back to the US
-If you try to transfer back, the narrow curriculum will hurt you in admissions.
-Not much contact time with professors, most of the classes are HUGE for science. Much more so than my friend's back home.
-60 or 70% of your mark is based on your exams, you have to get a 40% to pass. So no grade inflation.
-Here there's really no feeling of a campus. It's like you're living on your own... None of the typical college experiences like dorms, sports games, campus, dining hall. I truly miss that.

Also, you need a visa. I had a huge problem getting mine, I think I got it two or three days before my flight left.

the pound is crashing and burning... so exchange rate is good
plus even as an international student your not paying as much as Ivy League Schools
