Benefits of studying abroad?

Hey guys, first post! :-)

I'm thinking of doing a summer school abroad either next summer, or the year after, probably in Europe. Some of them cost quite a lot though, so for anyone who's already done a summer school - what were the biggest benefits you got out of it? Just trying to work out if it's worth it, or if I should just do something nearby.

Many thanks!

I think the biggest advantage of it is that you learn to deal with people of all classes and races. The more you get interaction with other people and at different places, more you know.secondly, you can have better earning whether you do job abroad or in India as well.

study abroad is a unique life changing experience that will help you grow academically, personally and prepare you for your career.

Yes, As a former study abroad student it is definitely worth studying abroad. I would agree with Etracy you should have a clear purpose so you can maximize your study abroad experience.
Confidence is the number benefit, it is very hard to put a price tag on something that pushes you into the drive seat of your future.

To get the most out of your experience you should plan with foresight and do your diligence of proper preparation. Remember that what you put into it is what you get out of it.

Do yourself a favor and find your “real” reason to why you want to study abroad and find a program both fills your desires for and challenges you.

There are tons of ways to find money to study abroad but realistically if you’re looking to party and not challenge yourself then don’t waste your time.
